About emily

Hello! My name is Emily, and I can’t wait to help you with your next French to English translation project! I am certified by the American Translator's Association (ATA) in French to English translation and have an incredibly sharp eye when it comes to detail. I enjoy analyzing and dissecting texts in order to provide thoughtful and highly professional human translations or machine translation post-editing.

I have been a professional translator for 7 years. I live in Iowa, and English is my native language. My educational background includes bachelor’s degrees in both French and Accounting obtained from Iowa State University as well as a grades 5-12 French teaching license. My time spent studying at La Sorbonne in Paris as well as the Alliance Française, in addition to my many travels to French-speaking Europe, has given me an additional layer of cultural competence that is evident in my work.
